Spreading positive vibes for good mental health!

News — Spreading positive vibes for good mental health!

To mark Mental Health Awareness Week (13 – 19 May), The Friary has launched the ‘Wall of Positivity’ which is now on display on level 2 between Urban Outfitters and Next.

Since 2001, the Mental Health Foundation has been leading Mental Health Awareness Week – bringing together the UK to focus on getting good mental health. Each May, millions of people from every part of society take part. They include people in schools and further education; private, public and charity sectors; families and individuals.

So, to build upon the success of our ‘Wall of Kindness’ last year, we wanted to provide a public space for our local community to share a message that will help reflect and inspire a feeling of positivity.

Be sure to pop along this week to write a message and read what others have put on the wall too! Please let’s all take some time to fill the wall with messages of kindness and support to help spread some positive vibes across Guildford and beyond!

If you are unable to come and write a message in person and would like your message of support added to The Wall of Positivity, please email us your short message to concierge@thefriaryguildford.com

We’re extremely proud to support local mental health charity Oakleaf who will be at The Friary on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th May to host their ‘Move for mental health Bike Challenge’ which supports this year’s theme of ‘Moving more for mental health’. You’ll find them located on level 2 outside Next, so make it a date to come along and have some fun and help support this worthy local cause.
