Sophie is a local influencer who runs the podcast “Funny For A Girl” and lets her fun and quirky personality shine. She’s an expert in travel, food, fashion, and fun and shares her suggestions with her followers. Sophie’s unique style is a testament to the enthusiastic fashion scene in Guildford, inspiring us all. We caught up with Sophie to get to know her a bit better and asked some fun questions:
Hey! Thanks for being involved in our fashion campaign, Style Starts With You. We wanted to get to know you! So, what is your favourite colour?
Orange!! It’s such a fun, bright colour, and I like how the word sounds.
What would you say is your go-to “Power Outfit”?
Anything with pink! It’s bold, it’s beautiful, and it’s always a powerful colour.
What kind of fashion items excite you?
I love trainers and shoes! I have way too many. They’re all over the house, which drives my mum crazy! 🤣 I’m exploring statement jewellery a bit more recently, which I’m also loving!
What would you say has been your favourite holiday?
I love Dubai! It’s like a hot version of London, but with a beach too! You can have a relaxed time there, or a super fun full-on time. I love it!
What drew you to Guildford?
I’ve always lived within 15/20 minutes from Guildford!
So, what do you love about Guildford?
I love the variety of shops and restaurants and entertainment! I love a good comedy night in Guildford or a cheeky trip to one of the many bars 🤩 it’s also my go-to shopping centre because it’s got such a variety, including Hollister which has been a fave shop of mine since I was a child!
What is your favourite food?
This is a hard one because I love food SO much! I love tapas and charcuterie boards because you can have a little of everything, but if I had to choose one dish, it would probably be sushi or a smash burger!
Do you have a fun fact to share?
I’ve visited over 28 countries!
If someone were to create a film of your life, who would you want to play you?
Selena Gomez! I think she’s great!
Who would be your dream dinner guest?
Simon Cowell or Michael Jackson!
Which movie is your favourite, and you could watch everyday?
Deadpool, I find Ryan Reynolds so funny!
Tea or Coffee?
Oat latte all day every day! (But you can’t go wrong with a cuppa and some choccy digestives.)
As you know, we have launched a Book Base at The Friary in the food court now so what would be your favourite book?
The Chocolate Lovers Club by Carole Matthews or The Party Crasher by Sophie Kinsella. They were both such fun and easy reads, real bubble bath books!
