Make Christmas Wishes Come True
The Wishing Star is shining bright at The Friary Guildford – and we need YOU to help spread the festive cheer.
How it works:
- Head to Level 2 and find The Wishing Star.
- Pick a tag for a local charity and give back to your community by donating a gift.
- Drop your unwrapped donations at the Centre Management office on level 1 by 5th January.
Who will you support?
The North Guildford Food Bank has been set up to provide temporary help for individuals and families in the Guildford area who are in need. Working alongside local agencies and churches, they want to ensure that no one goes hungry – especially at Christmas.
Shooting Star Hospice cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. Whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months, or years, they are here to make every moment count.
Guildford Action offers practical help with essentials like food, shelter, clean clothes and healthcare – because when people have the basics, they can start to put the rest of their lives back together.
Riverside has a project called the ‘Number 5 Hub’, which provides short-term temporary accommodation with support, for people who are rough sleeping in Guildford, aged 18 or over, with a local connection to Guildford.
Every donation counts – and with your help, we can make this season brighter for so many in need in our local community. So, grab a tag, give what you can, and let’s light up this Christmas together!
