The Friary Guildford Pooch Policy
At The Friary Guildford, we absolutely understand how much our visitors love their furry friends…
We do too! However, to ensure the comfort, safety, and hygiene of all our guests,
only accredited assistance and accessibility dogs are permitted inside the shopping centre.
Why This Policy Is in Place
We have received some feedback and concerns from visitors, particularly regarding dogs in areas such as the food court and communal seating spaces.
To maintain a clean, welcoming, and safe environment for everyone,
including children, allergy sufferers, and those who may feel uncomfortable around animals, we kindly ask that pets are not brought into the centre.
Many of our retailers and food outlets also operate under strict environmental health and hygiene regulations, which do not allow animals (except registered assistance dogs) on their premises. By following this policy, we are ensuring that everyone can continue to enjoy their visit without disruption.
Assistance Dogs Welcome
Of course, assistance dogs are always welcome at The Friary.
This includes dogs trained by and affiliated with recognised organisations such as:
Guide Dogs for the Blind
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People
Dogs for Good
Support Dogs
Or other accredited assistance dog charities
Our staff and security team are trained to recognise and support guests with assistance dogs, ensuring a smooth and respectful experience during your visit.
Thank You for Your Understanding
We truly appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a comfortable and inclusive environment for all our shoppers.
Your support allows us to keep The Friary a clean, safe, and enjoyable place for everyone to visit.
